Leadership Academy Belize Logo
As the Leadership Academy expanded its horizons to students in Belize, I was again contacted to create a logo, which would be used to commemorate the trip in both documentation and on t-shirts for students in Placencia, Belize.
I was asked to maintain all the elements of the original logo that were so well-received with elements of the St. John's Memorial Anglican School's logo. As a fishing village, many people in Placencia maintain a connection to water and the seahorses from St. John's logo were an indication of that. They were integrated into the logo as well as a new, Mayan-inspired typeface by Richard de Ruijter. The motto at the bottom was chosen by students who would be leading the Academy in Belize. Lastly, the color green was chosen as it would be a symbol of future growth for both the Academy and the students in Placencia.
Overall, the logo and the shirts were met with approval and now can be seen in Upper St. Clair High School as well as on the shirts of over 80 students in Belize.
